This sweet concoction is the essence of summer, and it’s perfect for the whole family. The best part? It gets even more refreshing as the blueberry ice melts.
- For The Ice Cubes:
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- For The Lemonade:
- 4 cups water
- ½ cup fresh lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
- ½ cup maple syrup, room temperature
- Mint, for serving
In a blender, combine ice cube ingredients and blend until chunky. Divide into a 12-cube ice tray and freeze.
To make lemonade, combine water and lemon juice in a large pitcher or container. Add maple syrup and mix well. Chill overnight in the refrigerator.
When ready to serve, add frozen cubes to glasses and pour the lemonade over them. As the ice melts, the blueberry flavor will come through. Garnish with fresh mint and serve.
